After completing college in 1976, Steve worked as a senior corporate graphic designer for over thirty years—working in design, illustration and photography.
Steve left his corporate position in 2008 in order to focus more on art.
My art is a way of communicating concepts, ideas, and emotions. Working in different styles is comfortable for me. It’s like being able to speak different languages—and the more languages I know—the more people I can communicate with. Style variations are never forced—they happen as a natural course. Experimentation is on-going and a wonderful way of learning ‘new languages’.
His paintings range from miniatures to large multi-panel pieces. His work is currently held in private and corporate collections in Canada, with the Manitoba Government, and private collections in the United States and Australia.
